Description
Our Sliced Bresaola is an air-dried charcuterie that originated from the Lombardy region in northern Italy. Made from very lean beef, it is first salting with a carefully selected blend of garlic, pepper and spices. It is then hung to dry extremely slowly and aged for between two to three months. This causes the meat to harden and turn a beautiful dark red, almost purple colour. With very thin lines of marbled fat scattered through it.
In terms of taste, Bresaola has an amazing meaty flavour with delicate, sweet aromas from the spices used during the curing process. Complex, mature and utterly delicious.
Bresaola is usually sliced paper-thin and served at room temperature or slightly chilled. Italians love to eat it as part of an antipasto platter. Along with some delicious Italian cheeses, olives, fruit and nuts. It is equally good when used in a fresh rocket salad with salty cheese like Parmesan. Also, very tasty when draped on top of a freshly cooked pizza or focaccia.
Or simply serve with some warm crusty bread, quality Italian olive oil, balsamic vinegar and lemon. Accompanied by a good bottle of Italian wine of course!

Each pack contains approximately 250g of Sliced Bresaola.
Although nearly any food is capable of causing an allergic reaction, only the bellow listed foods account for 90 percent of all food-allergic reactions. These foods are:
- Cereals containing gluten, namely: wheat (such as spelt and Khorasan wheat), rye, barley, oats
- Crustaceans for example prawns, crabs, lobster, crayfish
- Eggs
- Fish
- Peanuts
- Soybeans
- Milk
- Nuts; namely almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, cashews, pecan nuts, Brazil nuts, pistachio nuts, macadamia (or Queensland) nuts
- Celery (including celeriac)
- Mustard
- Sesame
- Sulphur dioxide/sulphites, where added and at a level above 10mg/kg in the finished product. This can be used as a preservative in dried fruit
- Lupin which includes lupin seeds and flour and can be found in types of bread, pastries and pasta
- Molluscs like clams, mussels, whelks, oysters, snails and squid
