Description

Our Goose Foie Gras Block from Périgord is a popular French delicacy that is much loved by gourmets and connoisseurs. Over the centuries, it has gained a reputation for being the best type of foie gras. And is considered by many to be the dish of kings.

Made from the best quality goose liver, it is still cooked in the traditional way with just salt and black pepper added to season it. It has a wonderful subtle buttery taste and a texture that is beautifully smooth and silky.

Our Goose Foie Gras Block comes in different sizes but this 200g version is ideal is ideal to share with family and friends. And is therefore perfect for dinner party canapes.

Simply spread on some light toasted bread and serve with some delicious fig chutney. Or sprinkle with a little truffle salt for the ultimate luxurious treat.

Food and Wine Pairing
Foie Gras and Sweet Wine is a classic pairing. The natural sweetness of the wine complements the opulent flavour of the Foie Gras beautifully whilst its vibrant underlying acidity cuts through the richness of this French delicacy causing it to just melt in the mouth.

We highly recommend pairing this Goose Foie Gras with our fantastic Carmes de Rieussec from Sauternes in Bordeaux. Alternatively, if you are in the mood to celebrate, a chilled glass of Bollinger is another brilliant match!
