Introducing Gusbourne Brut Reserve Late Disgorged, 2015.
Light gold in colour with a fine mousse. Aromas of citrus peel, green apple and stone fruits alongside brioche and biscuit notes. Lemon Sherbet notes on the nose turn to a creamier lemon posset on the palate, with white peach, apple and pear. Behind the elegant fruit lies more complex flavours of toasted nuts, buttered toast and delicate spice leading to a long, intense finish.
Food And Wine Matching
This wine is delicious with richer fish dishes and lighter meats. A scallop gratin, or salmon en croute, lemon and herb roasted chicken or a pumpkin and hazelnut tortelloni.
Presented in a beautiful gift box, Gusbourne Brut Reserve Late Disgorged, 2015 is an ideal English Sparkling Wine for any celebration or occasion. And makes a perfect present for family and friends.
Gusbourne is an ancient estate that dates back to the early 1400s. It is based in the tiny village of Appledore on a low south-facing escarpment. Situated in the warm South East corner of Kent, about 6 miles from the sea. Gusbourne planted their first vines in 2004. Gusbourne has a clear vision and a single goal to create world-class English Sparkling Wines. That stand shoulder to shoulder with the very finest wines from across the globe.
An uncompromising quest for perfection and a meticulous approach to detail is at the heart of everything Gusbourne does. They ensure only the best grapes are used in their winemaking by growing and hand-picking all their grapes themselves. They produce exclusively vintage wines that are unique to each growing season because they want each bottle to be a true reflection of both time and place.
