Description

Introducing our Hungarian Winter Salami. Also known as Magyar Szalámi. This dry-cured pork salami is made using a traditional recipe and production processes that have remained largely unchanged for generations.

Made from the finest quality pork and a carefully selected blend of spices including Hungarian paprika which gives this salami its distinctive flavour and vivid red hue. Each salami is dry cured, which means it is not cooked, but rather left to air-dry and ferment. This process can take several weeks or months, depending on the size of the salami and desired flavour.

During this time, the salami develops its distinctive white bloom and loses moisture which helps to intensify its flavour and texture. It is then hung in temperature controlled cellars and left to age for several months, resulting in this truly exceptional salami. The whole process is a true labour of love. And is what gives this Hungarian Salami its wonderful smoky aromas and delicious meaty taste.

The best way to eat this salami is to slice it thinly. And simply enjoy it on its own as a snack. Or as part of charcuterie board alongside other cured meats, cheeses, olives, and pickles. Accompanied by a good bottle of red wine of course!

So, if you like charcuterie, our Hungarian Winter Salami is definitely worth trying to experience the wonderful flavours of Hungarian food and traditional cuisine.
