Description

Introducing our Polish Pork Sausage, famously known as Kielbasa Wiejska. This classic pork sausage is a very popular ingredient in Polish cuisine. Celebrated for its unique flavour and hearty, rustic texture.

Using a traditional recipe, this lightly smoked sausage is made from ground pork and garlic. As it is already cooked, it can be enjoyed as a cold cut with mustard and crusty bread. And goes down a treat with a cold beer or vodka!

Alternatively, you can heat it up and add it to a variety of dishes. Poles typically use it in soups or add it to make hearty stews like Bigos or Hunter’s Stew. This national dish dates back to the 14th century when the Royal Court promoted autumn and winter hunting in order to supply the King with enough sausage for the entire year!

Bigos consists of stewed sauerkraut, wild mushrooms, any kind or meat – from pork to rabbit to venison – and plenty of smoked polish sausage of course! It is incredibly simply to make and like most stews tastes even better if left overnight and reheated the next day. So why not have a go. It’s the perfect dish to prepare in advance for an evening with family and friends.

So why not feast like a king and discover the taste and flavours of Poland with our delicious Kielbasa Wiejska.
