About the Producer
Domaine Sève is a small but impeccable family property that lies on the steep slopes overlooking Solutre, one of the finest of all the Mâcon Villages and at the very core of the appellation. Sylvie and Jean Pierre Seve, the current generation, use oak carefully so as not to create oaky flavours but to allow a controlled, slow exchange between any oxygen and the developing wine, with spectacular results. It was Pouilly Fuisse such as this that gained the commune world wide acclaim originally.
Serving Guide: Serve chilled at between 10-11°C or after about 1 hour in the fridge. Use larger bowl glasses if you can, to let the wine breathe and release all the aromas and flavours. Decanter 10 minutes before serving.

Floral, White Peach and Citrus
Pouilly-Fuisse ‘Vieilles Vignes’ is lovingly made by Sylvie and Jean Pierre Sève in Solutré – one of the finest Pouilly-Fuisse villages in Maconnais. The use of Chardonnay grapes from 50 year old vines, matured in large barrels for 10 months produces an elegant Pouilly-Fuisse with a light touch of oak. This therefore balances a bright creamy minerality. So allowing the Chardonnay grape to shine. Aromas of toasted brioche lure you into a palate of honeyed yellow fruits, hazelnut and soft spice.
One of the very best wines at the Decanter World Wine Awards and awarded a Platinum Medal.

A good white Burgundy like this Pouilly-Fuisse from Domaine Sève pairs nicely with most fish or creamy sauce dishes. It is also great with a buttery Roast Chicken or delicious mushroom risotto!
