Description
Our Shoulder of Wild Boar is the perfect choice if you are looking for a delicious alternative for your traditional Sunday Roast. Tender and juicy, this boned and rolled joint of Wild Boar has an intense rich flavour. Often described as a cross between free-range pork and venison.
Wild boar meat is prized for its leanness. And has a wonderful sweet slightly nutty taste thanks to the natural diet of grass, roots, nuts, fruits and acorns the boar forage for in the wild.
Wild Boar is simple to cook, delicious to eat and endlessly versatile. And works beautifully in a range of dishes. Simply slow roast adding garlic and a strong herb or spice like Star Anise or Fennel. And serve with the usual trimmings. Roast potatoes, root vegetables, gravy and some homemade apple sauce. Enjoy with a good bottle of red wine. The perfect Sunday Roast for all the family!
Wild Boar is one of the most popular game meats – and deservedly so. So, if you’re fed up with the same old roast and want something a bit different and more exotic, why not shake things up and make Wild Boar the star of your dish. You won’t regret it!
