The garbanzo is another legacy of the Moorish occupation of Spain. They are the most important pulse in the Spanish cuisine and used more in the Catalonia areas where the climate is slightly cooler. However, you will find them included in most traditional Spanish restaurants across the whole of Spain during the winter months.
