Spanish Cooked Giant Butter Beans or Judiones Granja are the jewels of Segovia gastronomy. Named after the town of La Granja in San Ildefonso. They are grown exclusively in this area which is known as the White of Spain. Called Judión for its large size, this bean is very tender and tasty and is a much loved pulse used in dishes in La Granja and throughout the rest of Spain.
Our Giant Butter Beans are already cooked, so there’s no need to soak them for 24 hours. Just open, rinse and add to your authentic Spanish dishes.

Judiones Granja are perfect for traditional Spanish dishes, soups and stews and pairs wonderfully with our Rioja Reserva from Valserrano which is made from 10% Graciano added to classic Tempranillo grapes.
