Our Spicy Chorizo Slices from Casademont are made from a traditional Spanish recipe. Using coarsely textured pork sausage flavoured and seasoned with red pepper, chilli, garlic and paprika. Giving them the perfect balance of smokiness and spice.
The history of this humble spicy sausage is fascinating. With the discovery of smoked paprika in the sixteenth century, Spanish charcuterie suddenly became much more flavoursome. The story goes, King Charles IV was out hunting one day when a chorizo-maker offered him a taste of his produce. The king loved the flavour so much, he instantly appointed the man as the royal chorizo-maker on the spot. And since then chorizo has become known as the King’s sausage.
Sliced and ready to go, this royal favourite can be enjoyed at any time of the day. Why not indulge in a chorizo and cheese croissant for breakfast. Also perfect in sandwiches and snacks on the go. Or if you are after a quick midweek supper, simply add these chorizo slices to a cheese and charcuterie board. Serve with some warm crusty bread, plenty of pickle and a good bottle of Spanish wine.
Our Spicy Chorizo Slices are also brilliant when added to pizza, salads, soups and more giving great depth of flavour and a distinctive smoky kick to all your meals.
Although nearly any food is capable of causing an allergic reaction, only the bellow listed foods account for 90 percent of all food-allergic reactions. These foods are:

- Sulphur dioxide/sulphites, where added and at a level above 10mg/kg in the finished product. This can be used as a preservative in dried fruit
- Lupin which includes lupin seeds and flour and can be found in types of bread, pastries and pasta
- Molluscs like clams, mussels, whelks, oysters, snails and squid

Storage: Keep refrigerated between 0 and 8°C. To be consumed best before (see packaging). Once opened, consume within 3 days.
