Description
Unagi No Tare is a dark, thick, sweetened soy sauce from Japan. Traditionally used to coat the Japanese delicacy of freshly Grilled Eel in dishes like Unadon which is Eel with rice. Or Unagi Nigiri which is Eel Sushi. This seasoning sauce is extremely versatile and will certainly add amazing depth of flavour to all your favourite Japanese recipes.
This Unagi sauce is like no other. It is a kombu dashi based sauce with Sake and Mirin. Sweet, savoury and packed full of flavour, it is perfect as a basting, cooking or dipping sauce for grilled meats or any kind of fish or seafood. Also delicious on BBQ dishes. Think barbecued meat, fish, tofu or mushrooms.
All you need is a light brush or drizzle of Unagi No Tare to give your dish sweet-savoury notes and heighten flavour. Why not use it to baste some pan seared foie gras, or use this sauce as a marinade for Grilled Chicken or as a dressing for freshly cooked noodles. Or why not try it as a dipping sauce with some homemade sushi. Simply divine!
This classic Japanese sauce is definitely a great choice to have in your kitchen cupboards especially if you are a lover of Japanese food.
Although nearly any food is capable of causing an allergic reaction, only the bellow listed foods account for 90 percent of all food-allergic reactions. These foods are:

- Nuts; namely almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, cashews, pecan nuts, Brazil nuts, pistachio nuts, macadamia (or Queensland) nuts
- Celery (including celeriac)
- Mustard
- Sesame
- Sulphur dioxide/sulphites, where added and at a level above 10mg/kg in the finished product. This can be used as a preservative in dried fruit
- Lupin which includes lupin seeds and flour and can be found in types of bread, pastries and pasta
- Molluscs like clams, mussels, whelks, oysters, snails and squid

Storage: Store in a cool dry place. Once opened, keep refrigerated and use within 30 days.
