The rich, earthy flavours of the venison combined with the subtle sweetness and warmth of Cognac gives a truly indulgent experience with every bite.
This wonderful pate is packed with flavour and has a lovely coarse texture. It is great as a light lunch, makes a sensational starter and is brilliant to take on summer picnics. Or why not enjoy as part of a cheese and charcuterie board. Simply serve with warm crusty bread and artisan crackers. Add some French cornichons and your favourite pickles and chutneys and you have the perfect meal to share with family and friends. Absolutely delicious!
This gourmet pate is also ideal if you are entertaining at home and want to create some simple but elegant party canapés. Just spread the pate on some toasted brioche squares, sprinkle on some fresh herbs and arrange on a platter. You can easily make it and prepare it ahead of time.

- Celery (including celeriac)

- Sesame
- Sulphur dioxide/sulphites, where added and at a level above 10mg/kg in the finished product. This can be used as a preservative in dried fruit
- Lupin which includes lupin seeds and flour and can be found in types of bread, pastries and pasta
- Molluscs like clams, mussels, whelks, oysters, snails and squid
